Agilysis shortlisted for two further awards

For a fourth time Global Roads has been shortlisted for another award. Following the first win at last years Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards, and a win earlier this year at the CIHT awards, Global roads has been shortlisted once again this time at the Highways UK excellence awards for their Road Safety Award.

Global Roads was our first dip of the toe into the water of just what's achievable with brand new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The initial project achieved aiRAP accreditation for three attributes including detecting vehicle speeds and traffic flow by using satellite imagery. Both vital data when conducting an iRAP survey of a road.

Last month Global Roads was also shortlisted at the National Transport Awards.

In addition to this, Agilysis has also been shortlisted for Team of the Year at the Highways UK excellence awards. Both award ceremonies take place later in October.

Is 9 Casualties Better Than 10? The challenge of evaluating with a lack of data and what we might do about it

For practitioners and advocates across our sector, Vision Zero is a moral goal, one which rightfully leads to us removing risk and creating layers of protection ‘systemically’ within the Safe System. But as we deliver this change together and casualty numbers on our roads (hopefully) come down, there is a challenge for evaluators: Less Data. How can we tell what works with a scarcity of outcome data?
