Data Analyst

Location: Agilysis Limited Offices, Banbury
(work location split between Banbury offices (OX16 0AE) and home working subject to negotiation)

We are well known in the UK and overseas for our high-quality analysis including creating online tools and resources, bespoke reports, and cutting-edge research. Much of this work is powered by our Analytics team and we have a new vacancy for a Data Analyst as we continue to grow. The role will be varied with scope for the successful candidate to use their existing skills and experience, together with fantastic opportunities to learn on the job. Perhaps you are someone who is already experienced at analysing road safety and transport data (this would be a distinct advantage) or maybe you are working in another field but have great transferrable skills?
The right person will have a great affinity with data, you will have fantastic Excel skills and a working knowledge of databases, possibly including SQL Server. Data visualisation is important too as we always want to make sure we communicate the messages within data to our clients. Knowledge of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or similar will come in handy, although we often use a variety of different systems ourselves depending on the use-case. A lot of our work focusses on place, whether that’s roads or communities, so mapping experience perhaps using specialist GIS tools would be an advantage too.
There will also be opportunities to move into the field of data science using R and we have a clear goal to increase this type of work as it becomes more critical to our industry. Don’t worry if you haven’t had exposure to this type of work before though.
Pulling data from a variety of sources, understanding the meaning behind it and producing reports for clients that help them influence decision making is what we are all about.
If you want an opportunity to be part of the team please read the job description and person spec then fill in the form below, or if you already know one of the team just send us a message.

Salary range: £28k - £34k per annum. Offer to be determined following interview based on skills and experience.

Benefits: Pension, flexible working, cycle-to-work scheme
