Working With National Express to Profile Risk on Coach Routes

March 28, 2019

Over the last two months we have been working with National Express to see what type of analysis may be possible to assist them in identifying collision hotspots along coach routes, especially those involving vulnerable road users.  Using a variety of data sources matched to our bespoke UK roads network, we have produced an online demonstration dashboard that can be used to review various risk metrics on three test routes.  The solution goes far beyond our standard risk mapping solutions and incorporates telematics data from their fleet and also draws in incident data from video analytics.

The demonstration today at the national operations event in Coventry drew significant interest from operators and we are expecting to deliver a full national rollout across 150 routes in the coming months. pic33
