Continued success for our Standing Together Webinars

Over the course of the COVID-19 lockdown period, we have been trying to find ways to continue to engage our colleagues and clients to bring everyone together, maintaining a positive and stable community where we can all learn in an adapted way. One of our key contributions to this is our Standing Together webinar series. As we complete the second series, we wanted to look at the worldwide outreach to see just how many professionals we have managed to engage with and help keep on track in these difficult times.
Our original ambitions were to connect with perhaps a few dozen people in each event but we have been amazed with just how successful these webinars have become. In series one we attracted attendees from parts of South Africa, Nepal and Japan, as well as Ecuador and the USA. In series two, we had attendees from Romania, Zambia, Qatar and Uruguay, amongst many other countries.
We ran three strands for both series of webinars: Strategy & Leadership, Technical & Analytical and Design & Delivery. Out of these, for both series, attendees from Asia and The Americas mostly enjoyed our Strategy and Leadership strand. We also found that interest in our Design & Delivery strand picked up in series two, probably due to the expansion of the content created. Series three will bring a further expansion where we are concentrating on two specific themes of ‘Evaluation’ and ‘Older Drivers’ alongside some one-off events.
In terms of total number, series one and two were attended by people from 174 organisations with attendees from independent consultancies, professional services firms, police and fire & rescue services, councils, private companies, government organisations, local authorities, event management companies, charities and charitable partnerships, NGOs, and of course institutes and universities.
The feedback and engagement have been colossal, opening up new topics of discussion between ourselves and colleagues within the sector. We received a whopping total of 397 questions during the Q&A sessions of the webinars which clearly demonstrated how people appreciate this opportunity to engage with others in this format. This has clearly shown us there is a definite need for this sort of online learning within the industry – and you all really love keeping our experts on their toes!
In terms of the total amount of learning delivered, the 317 individual attendees have joined in for a total of 83,867 minutes of training (this is over 24 days). Out of those individuals, 246 attended at least two webinars each. This achievement has been no mean feat and is all thanks to those in the profession spreading the word to get as many people on the webinars as possible.
We are looking forward to rolling out series three of our webinars, details of which are now on the website. We look forward to you joining us as we continue to deliver this exciting, new way of Standing Together.
