In the past year, we've successfully delivered Safe System training to over 150 participants across Scotland, the North West, the Midlands, the South East and Yorkshire & Humber. Due to overwhelming demand and the success of these sessions, we have decided to run a limited number of places in open courses, available in 2024.
Agilysis will partner with the Road Safety Foundation to deliver these 2-day open training courses at a soon-to-be-revealed location in Oxfordshire.
In our unwavering commitment to advancing road safety, we recognise the critical need to stay at the forefront of industry knowledge. Our Safe System training is crafted to empower professionals, providing you with the opportunity to work through the implications of the Safe System for your work to ensure maximum impact. We bring the latest strategies, insights, and understanding to amplify your expertise.
Course Content:
- Comprehensive insights into the principles of the Safe System.
- Explore best practices for designing and implementing effective road safety measures.
- Collaborate with industry experts and fellow professionals to share experiences and strategies.
- Work shopping to unpack the challenges of the Safe System and what it means for your work.
Who should attend?
The Safe System approach covers a broad range of stakeholders who are involved in the road network. Previous courses have been delivered to:
- Local Authorities (Officers, Managers and Portfolio holders) both those in road safety and beyond (e.g. planners, vehicle procurement, highways maintenance, major projects etc.)
- Elected members
- Transport Authorities
- Fire and Rescue Services
- Police
- User representatives
- Charities
- Consultants
Here’s what some of our previous attendees have had to say about the course:
"The training provided by Agilysis and Road Safety Foundation allowed for all partners to have a better understanding of the Safe System. Through breaking down the elements it helped officers and teams understand how they worked together. The dedicated Safe Road User training opened discussions regarding current activities and how we can ensure our activities are data led and are able to be evaluated effectively. The training has improved partnership working as organisations and officers now have a good understanding of the Safe System. It further encouraged teams to review their current offering and explore how they support other elements within the Safe System. Learning from the sessions can be recalled a year after training."
-Fay Cannon, Warwickshire County Council
