Agilysis takes home the RSGB Corporate award at national conference

Last week at the Road Safety GB national conference in Harrogate, we were lucky enough to be awarded with the Road Safety GB Corporate Award. The award recognises the achievements of a Road Safety GB corporate member and acknowledges their commitment and contribution to road safety.

The conference was a great opportunity for many of us to all meet in person once again for the first time in several years. This year we were presenting three different topics on the agenda.

On the first day of conference, Bruce spoke with Liz Box from the RAC Foundation about the rural roads project, which looks for a new data lead approach in further classifying ‘rural’ roads which at the moment is simply a catch-all term for any road which isn’t urban.

The second day had Dan and Tanya speaking separately but both presentations focused towards the safe system. Tanya spoke with Iain Temperton about the recent Safe System Capacity Survey along with a very similar project interviewing police forces on the same subject. While Dan spoke about the recent cultural maturity work with National Highways which we hope to be able to publish on our website in the future.

Agilysis's Traffic Insights report using connected vehicle data highlighted a 2.4mph reduction in average speeds. This aligns with the broader trend of adopting Vision Zero and Safe System methodologies, which prioritize human safety by setting speed limits that reduce fatality risks for pedestrians and cyclists. Discover how these changes are making roads safer and what further measures can be implemented for greater impact.
