Agilysis is proud to announce our collaboration with Anditi on a major road safety initiative for the Department of Transport and Main Roads Queensland (DTMR). The project involves conducting an AiRAP Star Rating road assessment across nearly 6,000 kilometers of Queensland’s National Land Transport Network highways.
As two of the few companies globally certified by AiRAP, Agilysis and Anditi are uniquely qualified to deliver this essential work. Together, we’re leveraging advanced data collection methods to evaluate critical road attributes, including Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT), speed profiles, and other road user information, ensuring evidence-based outcomes for safer roads.
Through our partnership with TomTom, Agilysis has developed innovative pipelines to quickly download, code, and export vital datasets. These capabilities have supported road assessments in over 70 countries, helping road authorities worldwide implement safer infrastructure strategies.
Richard Owen, CEO of Agilysis, reflected on the transformative power of connected vehicle and probe data:
"We recognised the importance of using connected vehicle or probe data over five years ago and have been using it to power solutions like our Speed Compliance Tool in the UK. By integrating data from multiple suppliers, including TomTom, we’ve been able to deliver innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. This latest project is another step forward in our mission to improve road safety worldwide."
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for further advancements in 2025. Agilysis plans to expand our Global Roads solution, enhancing our ability to meet the data needs of road authorities across the globe. Data from TomTom is already available in a large number of countries across the world as seen in the image above. Although in countries where data is not readily available, we also already have a proven solution to also support aIRAP through our Global Roads solution.
